Why we need your help

Hi, I’m hanebox, the person behind Menura.

Recently, something unexpected happened, and it hit me hard financially. I’m going through a really difficult time right now.

Menura costs money to run every month, and right now I can’t keep covering it on my own.

If donations don’t reach $50 by November 7, 2026, Menura will have to stop running until further notice. I really don’t want that to happen, because it means a lot to me every time Menura helps someone.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Menura at menura.download (the “Service”), operated by hanebox (“we” or “us”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Service.

1. The Service

Menura is a free service that allows you to save video, audio, and photos from publicly available links, convert files to other formats, and reduce file sizes. Conversion and compression are performed entirely within your browser.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service responsibly and in accordance with these Terms. In particular, you agree to:

  • Save only content that you have the right to keep, such as your own uploads, works published under a Creative Commons license, or content that its owner permits you to download.
  • Comply with all laws and regulations that apply to you, and take responsibility for the content you save and how you use it.

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in a way that infringes the rights of others.
  • Use the Service to remove or circumvent DRM or other technical protection measures, which the Service does not support.
  • Access the Service through automated means such as scripts or bots, circumvent the limits that ensure fair access for all users, or use our server as a general purpose proxy.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its availability to other users.

3. Third-party content

Menura does not host or store the media you save. All content remains the property of its respective owners. Menura is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the platforms it supports, and all trademarks and logos belong to their respective owners.

4. Copyright concerns

If you believe the Service is being used to infringe your rights, please contact us. Because Menura does not store media, requests to remove content should be directed to the platform where it is hosted.

5. Availability

The Service is provided free of charge. Because third-party platforms change regularly, some links may occasionally stop working. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, and we may restrict access where necessary to protect the Service or its users.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of data, or other damages arising from your use of the Service or the content you save. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will publish the revised version on this page and update the date above. Your continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
